Throughout my career in emergency medicine, I’ve seen firsthand the toll urinary tract infections (UTIs) take on women, particularly those who rely on adult incontinence products. I began noticing a pattern: women with incontinence experience UTIs at a much higher rate. Witnessing the frustration of patients and caregivers struggling to manage both incontinence and recurring infections inspired me to start Athena.

Backed by my medical expertise, I developed UraGuard™—a patent-pending solution designed to address this problem at its source. My mission is simple: to empower women to live active, healthy lives by helping to reduce the risk of infection before it starts.
